Liv is 3 months and having a blast

My tiny baby is not tin anymore. She is full of life and she is wonderful. She laughs and loves eye contact and closeness. The last few days I have chosen to ignore her initial fuss over being in a wrap and found her to fall deeply asleep for hours the second she gives in. I love being able to smell her little head and kiss it whenever the urge gets the better of me.

I wanted to take a picture of her the day she turned 3 months but hey, life is busy and it ended up being the day after.

Here she is :) My Liv, my perfect little baby girl who I love so endlessly much. 3 months and 1 day old.

On Saturday we took a walk in the forest. We need the fresh air and we have so beautiful surroundings out here, it would be a shame not to take advantage of that.

The weather was lovely, sunshine but not too warm, blue Sky and lush green forest. All of that you won’t see ;) I was playing around with my new camera to get to know it better and got some snap shots of the kids.

Iben picked flowers for me.

And she poses a bit for mor :)

Sønnich playing on grass.

For some reason this looks soft when oploaded when in reality it’s not.

He is a super hero.

Even super heroes need to pee

Least but not last a little movie showing Livs new found love for laughing.

Our day in the forest was lovely, we finished up by eating chocolate cake.

So life goes on

Strangely enough it really does. Kids still need to be fed, clothes need to be washed, floors need to be vacuumed and wood still needs be brought in before the fall. It’s hard to just keep plugging away and ever so often during the day, I find myself starring at the sky thinking about C asking the one question we will never get the answer for – why?

This sad experience has made me think about everyday life, how precious it really is and how we simply can not afford to take the time with our kids for granted. So to embrace that, I have promised myself to take more pictures of the ordinary day in our house, the everyday mundane things because at the end of the day that is what life is mostly about.

I found this little poem surfing the net one day and it just says it so beautifully. I don’t remember where I found it and I don’t know who wrote it, otherwise I would have left credit for that.

Normal day. Let me be aware of the treasure you are.

Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart.

Let me not pass you by in a quest for some rare and perfect tomorrow.

Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so

So here is my first attempt at freezing memories of everyday in our family. This Day Iben was playing with a friend, so she is nowhere to be found in these pictures.

My two sleepy kids greet each other in the morning. Both having slept in our bed.

I need coffee. It’s raining outside.

Sønnich has gotten into his clothes and is ready to face the world

Are you coming Mor?

Playtime

Lunch, drinking buttermilk

Babies need playtime too

Getting pretty strong at 3 months

Nap time is needed after hard workout. Still raining so get to sleep inside.

Big brother plays while little sister sleeps.

After naptime is over, guess who is back from work?

He must be happy to see her!

Least but not last, Liv in action performing live for grandparents in Canada.

All taken on saturday and converted to B/W because the day was dreary and boring and so very dark.

I truly love my new camera, it’s awsome and makes me take more pictures which I will have to, to get to know it better. So check in again soon as I will continue to work on my new goal and take more pictures of ordinary life.

I can take pretty pictures

These two are my big kids on the beach way past their bed time. It was all worth it thou. This Silouette was taken with my old trusty 350D.

Iben is so happy that I got my new camera because now she can play with the old one

My son has developed an alterego named Robbie.

Robbie has scary ears

Livs best weapon is her cuteness and fatness

Honey I Hope you see these and that they cheer you up a bit. We miss you.

I second Brendan’s comment – beautiful. I especially love the one of Iben with her missing teeth. I hope you guys take some video of “Robbie” so those of us across the ocean can enjoy him, too.
